The Cannons are a competitive juniors ultimate club based in Alberta, Canada.
We have programs for girls and boys and we work closely with Calgary Juniors Ultimate (CJU) and Edmonton Youth Ultimate (EUPA Youth) to develop new players from our community programs. We also run dedicated competitive practices in both cities, host joint training camps, and attend a variety of tournaments each season. Our primary goal every year is to compete at the Canadian Ultimate Championships.
Although we are based in Alberta and have roots in Calgary, we have relied upon and enjoyed support from other ultimate clubs in Alberta and Saskatchewan to fill out our rosters for major tournaments in past years. Our goal is always to include as many Calgary and Edmonton players as possible and to that end we are constantly recruiting new players that are interested in joining us.
Please contact us if you are interested in traveling to tournaments or even if you would like to join our practice roster.
You don’t need to have experience or be an amazing athlete to join the Cannons competitive team, you just need to commit to the program and want to improve. We can teach you the fundamental skills required to play the game. Junior nationals is separated into gendered teams, but we generally practice in a mixed environment.
